How Your Donation Saves Lives

It’s important to us at Cat Kids Rescue to be as transparent as possible about how our organization uses donations to save cats lives. Below is a list of common expense items the organization faces annually that the donations cover.

  1. Essentials - Food, water, & litter box supplies

  2. Facility - A clean, safe environment for them to stay while they wait to be adopted

  3. Equipment - A/C units, washer/dryer, vehicles for transporting supplies & cats

  4. Bedding - Sheets, blankets, pillows, & heating pads (for very young kittens)

  5. Tests - Heart worm, leukemia, F.IV. etc

  6. Vaccines - Rabies, distemper, etc.

  7. Treatments - Deworming, flea, tick, ringworm, heartworm, etc

  8. Doctors Visits - Special case cats needing treatment from vets

  9. Surgery - Spay/neuter

  10. Special Surgeries - For cats with special health needs such as disfigurements, organ conditions, etc.

  11. Medications & special diet food for sick cats

  12. Cleaning supplies - gloves, sanitizer, trash bags, paper towels, etc.

  13. Toys - To let them play and have fun while waiting for a family

  14. Online Presence - This site so we can get the word out on cats that need adopting and help adopters find their future family member!

Some of the cats we take in need special treatment and require more attention than others. In some cases, they may even require surgery to get them to proper health so they can be adopted to families that may not be able to afford procedures. We highlight some of these stories on our precious lives page so you can see the good your money is doing!
