Adoption FAQ’s

Where can we adopt from Cat Kids Rescue?  We adopt out of PetsMart in Largo and the Petco in Seminole.

What are your adoption fees? Kittens - start at $80 Adult cats - start at $45

What do your adoption fees cover?  Before adoption your CKR cats/kittens will be microchipped and spayed or neutered. They will be up to date with vaccinations but will still need to have a wellness check within 90 days (most kittens will still need their rabies vaccine). The cost of registering the microchip is included though you will need to transfer it from CKR to your name. 

How often do you receive new cats/kittens? Almost every day! 

Where do your cats/kittens come from?  Our cats come from all over - shelters, rescues, strays. We help every cat we can! 

How much time do I need to spend with a kitten or cat? As much time as you can. It is ideal to spend two hours a day socializing and playing with your cat/kitten to ensure they receive adequate attention and stimulation.

Is it ok to let my cat/kitten outside?  Your adoption contract states that your cat/kitten will live indoors. Statistics show, indoor cats live longer, healthier lives. 

I rent, can I still adopt a cat/kitten?  Yes. Though you will need to provide a copy of your lease and receipt of paid pet deposit. 

Can I declaw my cat/kitten?  No. Your adoption contract states you will never declaw your cat/kitten. This is cruel and unnecessary.
